Vending for schools and campuses.

Educational institutions have specific vending requirements — regulatory compliance, health guidelines, and a diverse student population with varying nutritional needs. We build campus vending programs that work within those constraints while delivering genuine convenience to students, staff, and faculty.

K-12 vs higher education: different requirements

K-12 schools in California are subject to the USDA Smart Snacks in Schools standards for any food sold on campus during the school day. These rules define calorie, fat, sugar, and sodium limits for competitive foods — including vending machine products. We stock K-12 machines exclusively with compliant products and can provide documentation for district food services review.

Community colleges and universities have more flexibility. The student population is adults, off-campus students mix with on-campus residents, and the hours extend far beyond standard school day constraints. University vending programs can include a wider range of products while still leaning toward the health-forward mix that college-age consumers prefer in the Bay Area.

High-performance locations on campus

library_books

Libraries & study areas

Students studying for extended periods generate consistent snack and beverage demand. Machines near campus libraries or 24-hour study spaces often see some of the highest volume on campus.

Athletic facilities

Campus gyms and sports facilities serve both student athletes and the broader student body. A performance-focused product mix (protein, electrolytes, clean-label snacks) fits this location well.

Faculty & staff areas

Faculty lounges and administrative buildings serve adults who may have different preferences than the student population. A second machine in staff-only areas can offer a broader range outside USDA student food requirements.

Dormitories

Residential campus students represent 24/7 demand — late-night studying, early morning classes, weekend hunger. Dorm lobby machines see some of the most consistent round-the-clock volume of any vending placement.

Frequently asked questions

Are your machines compliant with California school nutrition standards?
add

Yes. For K-12 placements, we stock exclusively products that meet USDA Smart Snacks in Schools standards. We maintain a list of compliant products and can provide documentation for district nutrition coordinators. We do not mix compliant and non-compliant products in K-12 machines.

Does the school district or college get any revenue from the machines?
add

Our base model is zero-cost to the institution with no revenue share. For larger campus accounts with multiple machines, we can discuss commission arrangements. Get in touch and we'll be direct about what's possible for your specific situation.

Can you serve a school in the Bay Area suburbs?
add

We serve schools and community colleges throughout our East Bay and South Bay service territory. If you're in Fremont, Newark, Hayward, Union City, Milpitas, or the San Jose area, you're within our regular routes. For schools in outlying areas, contact us and we'll assess serviceability for your specific location.
